What you'll do

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger to ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting cash flow needs and optimizing liquidity.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and assist in payroll processing.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting environments.
  • Background in public accounting with a focus on corporate accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software tools that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
