Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and have the ability to operate various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering freight across designated routes. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

  • Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and inspection reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Utilize manual transmission skills when required for specific vehicle types.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating specialized vehicles such as dump trucks and roll-off trucks.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving roles.
  • Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is essential.
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds or similar vehicles is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
