Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
- Identifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Capable of working independently or within a design team
- Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.
- Excellent communication skills with project team, partners, agencies, and clients
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid U.S. Driver's License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Engineer In Training Certification
- Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
- Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.
