Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and quality standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive delicious and well-presented meals.

Duties:

- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and meats

- Cook food items according to established recipes and portion sizes

- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment

- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meals

- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor

- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment

- Adhere to all dietary department guidelines and restrictions

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
