We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Application Developer
to design, develop, manage, and maintain custom web applications and business intelligence solutions. This role requires expertise in modern web stacks, robust security implementation, and cloud-based development practices, ensuring high availability and performance for critical enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

The successful contractor will be responsible for:

Application Development & Deployment

  • Design, develop, manage, and maintain
    complex enterprise applications (e.g., Configuration Change Plan tool) using
    ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    .
  • Develop custom solutions, website designs, and integration layers that utilize both external and internal data sources.
  • Utilize development platforms including
    SharePoint SPFx, Power Platform, Microsoft SQL, Visual Studio, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps
    , and scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Perform
    thorough code testing and error validation
    prior to all production deployments.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into specific designs through effective
    prototyping and storyboarding
    (using data modeling tools, mockups, and flow charts).

Business Intelligence & Automation

  • Build robust
    reports and dashboards
    using
    SQL Reporting Services, Power BI
    , and other Business Intelligence technologies.
  • Integrate
    automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    cloud services (e.g., Azure AI) into solutions to enhance decision-making capabilities.

Security and Infrastructure

  • Implement and adhere to rigorous
    Information Assurance (IA) security controls
    such as
    IAVA, STIG, and Zero Trust
    architectural requirements.
  • Ensure applications meet
    Section 508 accessibility compliance
    .
  • Install and configure
    Windows servers
    with related services and features (e.g., IIS, SQL).
  • Support administration of cloud environments, including
    Azure App Services, SQL Managed Instances, Key Vault, Virtual Machines, and Storage Accounts
    .

Support & Documentation

Write comprehensive
application user guides and technical documentation
.

  • Provide direct
    technical support and training
    to end-users.
  • Participate in project planning, design meetings, and provide technical advice on current and trending technologies.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum Six (6) years
    of experience in web application development and custom solutions using technologies such as
    C#, SPFx, JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML, T-SQL, .NET, JSON, and PowerShell
    .
  • Minimum Six (6) years
    of experience in the
    installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft Servers, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL, and Visual Studio
    .
  • Proficiency and in-depth experience
    in
    data modeling, User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design
    , and implementation.
  • Expertise in the installation, configuration, and management of
    virtualization technology
    (Hyper-V and VMware).
  • In-depth experience using
    AGILE concepts
    and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing
    STIG and IA policies
    .

Education

  • A
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
    OR an
    Associate's Degree in Computer Science
    with an additional two (2) years of directly relevant experience.

Certification

  • Security + CE

Security Clearance

  • Must possess an
    active Secret clearance
    .
