Remote Sales Manager (Food Manufacturing)

This is a remote role expected to be local to the South of the US.

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading the selling process, driving growth with Tier 1 customers, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies across regional markets. This role partners closely with internal teams, distributors, and customer leadership to deliver net sales expectations, strengthen relationships, and support long‑term business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the sales team activities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and meet revenue targets
  • Manage and mentor a remote sales team, setting clear goals and KPIs
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the selling process and sales team to achieve net sales expectations.
  • Focus on Tier 1 customer accounts through direct engagement with customer leadership teams, buyers, category managers, and key decision‑makers to drive growth.
  • Support regional teams in developing individual sales plans aligned with overall regional growth targets.
  • Coordinate with local and regional distributors to ensure operators receive exceptional service and support.
  • Manage existing and new customer programs, including pricing, rebates, and sampling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Strategy, Revenue Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain—to develop effective sales strategies and customer solutions.
  • Participate in demand planning to monitor forecast accuracy and alignment with business plans.
  • Identify necessary plan adjustments based on monthly and quarterly sales performance.
  • Review monthly and quarterly sales volumes for each market to ensure alignment with targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Culinary Arts Degree.
  • Ability to create executive‑level presentations for internal and customer audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented with strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs.
