About the company:
Petainer Manufacturing, USA is a provider of specialty PET packaging products for the beverage market – particularly large containers (10 – 30 liters) for beer, wine, and water.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operations:
- Plan, organize, and direct daily operations to meet output goals.
- Develop production schedules and manage resource allocation.
- Monitor and analyze data to optimize productivity and reduce waste/costs.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and protocols.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure legal compliance.
Staff Management:
- Lead, motivate, recruit, train, and develop plant personnel.
- Manage scheduling, performance, and resolve employee issues.
Quality Control:
- Implement strategies to maintain high product quality standards.
- Oversee quality assurance processes.
Maintenance:
- Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies for plant performance improvement and growth.
- Report on metrics and performance to senior management.
In essence, they are the link between upper management and the factory floor, responsible for translating company goals into efficient, safe, and profitable daily production.
Skills & experience:
- Previous experience of manufacturing operations and confident forklift operation. Plastic manufacturing experience is not required but preferred.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
