Epsilon is seeking a
PhD Data Visualization Intern
to join our Data Science Visual Analytics Team. As a Data Visualization Intern, you will be a vital team member in creating effective visualization tools that use marketing data to answer business questions in an engaging, intuitive and informative manner. Our visualization challenges span hundreds of millions of detailed profiles across hundreds of millions of websites and apps tied together by sophisticated real-time analytics that make near instantaneous decisions on messaging to those profiles billions of times a day. This provides an incredibly rich environment of business questions where answers are hidden within petabytes of data.

Epsilon's PhD Internship Program
As an intern, you'll participate in a formal 12-week summer program developed to provide you with a comprehensive grasp of digital marketing and Epsilon's personalization platform. During your internship, you'll undertake a research project addressing a specific technology or business challenge, allowing you to apply your visualization expertise practically. Lastly, you'll receive mentorship and feedback to help you successfully implement your research project.

Who You Are

• What you'll bring with you:

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program with relevant coursework, research, and background in data visualization and/or visual analytics

• Proficient knowledge and practical exposure to data visualization concepts and software
• Ability to translate complex data sets into clear, visually compelling insights
• Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript development

• Hands-on experience with modern web technologies such as React, , WebGL, or

• Why you might stand out from other talent:

• Ability to conduct independent research to identify and recommend the best approaches for solving complex technology and business problems

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data transformation, and analytics methodologies
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, including LLMs, agentic interfaces and RAG
• Hands-on experience applying UX/UI principles in real-world projects

Base Salary: $ $60.00/hour

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
