KPMG is currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to clients in a variety of industries, on import and export matters
- Research U.S. and international import and export trade matters
- Research, write, and review international trade advice
- Formulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunities
- Aid in the development and training of team members
- Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfaction
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Additional responsibility for Senior Associate:
- Provide leadership to associates and review their work
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of recent experience with a tax or advisory services firm, corporation, or trade law firm in import/export in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist, which will include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods
- Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
- Fluent in the Korean language
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated project management experience including effective interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Additional qualifications for Senior Associate:
- Minimum three years of recent direct experience working on engagements involving import and/or export compliance matters
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or other related trade certification preferred
