We are currently looking to add hardworking and reliable animal lovers to our team. Our main goal is to make sure that all of our four-legged guests are happy, healthy, and provided the best care.

Summary: The primary function of a Kennel Technician is to make sure that all animals are well taken care of and maintain a clean facility. Job duties include handling, care, feeding, medicating animals, and cleaning. Applicants must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time, reliable, compassionate, willing to learn, and pay attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a must. Looking for someone with a positive 'can-do' attitude. Current or past employment with a kennel or veterinarian clinic is a plus. Required to work shifts on feet that would include bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting 20lbs. and walking on gravel. Good phone and computer skills are a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties may be assigned

Animal Care:

  • Ensure that all animals are fed and have fresh water
  • Monitor animals and immediately report health or behavior abnormalities
  • Assist with bathing and nail trims as necessary
  • Help with clients picking up and dropping off pets
  • Administering medication
  • Walk dogs, rotate to outside play yards, and play with animals
  • Able and willing to work split-shifts, holidays, and weekends as required

Facility Care

  • Keep facility clean and organized
  • Make sure that all runs are cleaned and disinfected
  • Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors on a daily basis
  • Keep outdoor yards clean
  • Deep clean kennel including tops and bottoms of cages
  • Operate laundry equipment, fold laundry, and wash and sanitize dishes
  • Restock cleaning areas with supplies and equipment

People Care

  • Assist clients with checking in and out pets
  • Assist and communicate with clients when needed
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be able to work in a team

Key Results Areas

  • Animals: our guests are our number one priority. Providing top notch care.
  • Facility: kennel and common areas are kept clean and organized. Make sure that pets' belongings are kept up with and easily found.
  • Teamwork: working together is important. Daily goals are accomplished by relying on each other's help and communication

Pay is negotiable based on experience.

Shifts vary and split shifts are required as well as one weekend day and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $12.00 per hour
