Schu Marketing is a leading manufacturer's representative in the plumbing and building specialties industry. We are seeking a warehouse shipping and receiving associate to join our employee-owned company This position is a full-time position at our Brooklyn Park, MN warehouse and reports directly to the Warehouse Lead in collaboration with the Operations Manager.

Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing warehouse inventory. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality. Duties may evolve based on operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment
  • Securely wrap and pack pallet shipments to prevent damage
  • Record shipping data and note any substitutions or exceptions
  • Verify incoming shipments and report discrepancies promptly
  • Organize and store products in designated locations
  • Enter receipts into the system accurately and on time
  • Conduct stock checks as requested

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide backup support to the city desk
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Manufacturing of Schu Marketing specialty products
  • Assist with architectural installations as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Prior warehouse and shipping experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
  • Sound judgment and willingness to ask questions when unsure
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety
  • Experience operating hand tools and power tools

  • Maintain discretion regarding customer relationships, pricing, and product details
  • Respect the competitive nature of our client base

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs+

Work Environment

  • Moderately temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Dress appropriately for warehouse conditions
  • Some travel, including overnight travel, may be required for installations

Schu/Marketing is a partially employee-owned company (ESOP). All employees have an impact on profitability and success of this profit-sharing program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45, $55,000.00 per year
