RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Treasury: Completion/Review of bank account and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivables and assist in accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring timely collection.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, and collaborate with the team to implement best practices.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant.
  • Cash forecast: Maintain weekly / monthly cash forecast.
  • Credit Reconciliation: Monthly credit card statement postings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing accounting environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., EPICOR preferred or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
