Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Speech Pathologist to join the Myna Therapy Team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations, with a special focus on pediatrics. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual patient needs and goals
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric patients in school settings or clinical environments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, physicians, and caregivers to ensure holistic patient care
  • Utilize your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform treatment strategies
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy techniques as needed for optimal outcomes
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Prior experience working with pediatric populations
  • Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
  • Proven ability to perform detailed patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and educate families effectively
  • Knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to pediatrics and school-based services
  • Passion for patient care with a proactive approach to improving communication skills in children

Education Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of North Dakota.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pediatric speech and language development is a plus.
