Personal Injury Litigation Assistant

The De Castroverde Law Group is looking for a Litigation Assistant to join our team At De Castroverde Law Group we pride ourselves in treating every client like family and you will play a crucial role in ensuring our team is well equipped to adequately represent our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Request and follow-up on medical records, bills, balances, and subrogation liens.

· Confirm health insurance billing as applicable.

· Prepare and file Request for Exemption from Arbitration.

· Ensure physical mail matches electronic records and save CDs to files.

· Prepare and file Joint Case Conference Reports, Discovery Plans, and Scheduling Orders.

· Collect and calculate wage loss documentation.

· Prepare discovery requests, treatment recaps for depositions, and store original transcripts.

· Compile binders for hearings, depositions, and trials.

· Assist with preparation of Default Judgment documents and expert logs.

· Respond promptly to calls and emails.

· Provide case status updates to adjusters and providers when the case manager is unavailable.

· Collaborate with other legal assistants and support team as needed.

· Review and dispute final liens and insurance ledger discrepancies.

· Ensure compliance with all checklist items and assigned tasks.

· Assist with other tasks as assigned by attorneys, case managers, and management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • 1 year of personal injury experience; Litigation Experience a PLUS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
