Position Summary

The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Landscape Installation Operations is a high-impact leader responsible for leading multi-branch installation/construction operations with a focus on scalable growth, disciplined project execution, and financial performance. This role owns P&L outcomes, backlog conversion, gross margin delivery, and workforce planning while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. The RVP is expected to develop strong operational leaders, elevate field execution standards, and drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Stewardship

  • Own regional P&L performance, backlog forecasting, job costing accuracy, and margin protection across major installation projects.
  • Guide branch and project leadership teams in disciplined pricing, estimating strategy, contract controls, and change-order management.
  • Maintain visibility into regional project pipeline, labor forecasting, and production pacing to optimize revenue burn and cash flow.
  • Partner with Finance to analyze trends, identify variance root causes, and implement corrective actions with urgency.

Project Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Enforce standard operating procedures for project planning, kickoff, scheduling, labor allocation, procurement, and sub/vendor coordination.
  • Establish a performance cadence using KPIs such as labor productivity, rework rate, schedule adherence, punch list performance, and safety incident rate.
  • Drive a culture of "get it right the first time", minimizing rework, material waste, and margin erosion.
  • Ensure operational alignment with estimating, procurement, fleet, safety, and labor support teams.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop local Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and key Crew Leaders.
  • Build a performance-driven leadership bench, ensuring the region has ready-now successors for critical roles.
  • Partner with Talent & People team on workforce strategy for recruiting and hiring.
  • Set clear expectations, reinforce accountability rhythms, and model transparent leadership communication.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in operations leadership in either Landscape Maintenance OR Installation/Construction with oversight of multi-project or multi-branch environments.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, large dollar installation projects with strong financial results.
  • Demonstrated success in growing revenue, improving build margins, and increasing project velocity.
  • Experience managing backlog, production pacing, and labor modeling across multiple sites/branches.
  • Strong knowledge of contract structures, negotiations, change management, and schedule control.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, or Operations required; equivalent experience considered. MBA or advanced degree a plus.

Compensation

Compensation for this role will be market competitive and will include both base + incentive compensation bonuses. Sunrise also offers a competitive medical, dental and vision plan, 401k matching and attractive paid time away programs.
