The Team
This position reports directly to the Director, Mergers, Acquisitions & Investments. The growing team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing acquisition and investment opportunities. We operate as a cohesive team to meet our continuously shifting priorities and are accountable for our individual portfolio of work. Each member of the team is energetic, curious, business minded and self-motivated.

The Impact
You are supporting a broad range of corporate development activities for a business of approximately $20 billion in revenue and over 42,000 employees world-wide.

Using your communication and interpersonal skills, strong judgment, and broad range of M&A and investing experience, you will coordinate complex processes across large teams and take responsibility for day-to-day management of transactions. Your confidence and partnership will help others get to objective as you work with them to lead through transaction.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day leadership and management of a broad range of merger and acquisition transactions through the entire deal life cycle
  • Overall pipeline management across S&P Global Enterprise
  • Responsibility to coordinate across workstreams and ensure projects complete on time and on favorable terms
  • Analyze businesses and opportunities to assist the company in executing successful acquisitions
  • Create and manage financial and valuation models to inform action for investments
  • Coordinate across stakeholders for key inputs to the valuation model especially in informing synergies and dis-synergies
  • Manage due diligence and coordinate requests and input from key stakeholders
  • Build relationships in industry and assist in deal sourcing efforts; and
  • Collaborate and partner across divisions and functions to build best practices.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is
$146,109 to $252,227
. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of M&A experience at investment banking, management OR strategy consulting.
  • Experience in merger and acquisition transactions through the entire deal life cycle.
  • Demonstrating previous experiences in leading various financial modeling and valuation exercise and communicating modeling and M&A concepts to others without financial training.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and demonstrated ability to summarize deal strategic rationale succinctly and clearly.
  • Motivated self-starter with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Candidate must be comfortable leading broad teams in a matrix organization and demonstrate strong project management skills.
  • Ideally has pervious relevant experience in or interacting with a publicly listed company with global operations.
