Job Summary

Luminescence Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing healthcare and educational team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse patient populations—primarily pediatrics, early intervention, and individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves creating personalized care plans, supporting functional independence, and assisting children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within clinical, school-based, and therapeutic settings.

This position offers a meaningful opportunity to help children improve their independence, sensory regulation, motor skills, and daily functioning across multiple environments.

Duties

• Assess physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs impacting daily functioning and independence
• Develop individualized OT treatment plans based on functional goals and clinical needs
• Provide direct interventions focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, motor planning, handwriting, visual-motor integration, and adaptive living skills
• Support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Deliver therapy across clinical, school-based, and community settings
• Work with diverse populations including children with autism, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and adaptive skill deficits
• Monitor progress, update treatment plans, and maintain compliant clinical documentation
• Collaborate with ABA therapists, SLPs, educators, physicians, and multidisciplinary providers
• Assist with discharge planning, caregiver training, and home exercise strategies
• Participate in early intervention or family education programs as needed
• Contribute at least one clinical or process improvement idea per quarter
• Stay current with evidence-based OT practices, adaptive equipment, and pediatric development

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida (required)
• Experience with pediatric populations, autism, sensory integration, or school-based settings (preferred)
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, child development, and rehabilitative practices
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment, sensory tools, and assistive devices
• Strong understanding of functional independence, ADLs, care planning, and case management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach focused on improving quality of life
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet regulatory standards
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, SNF, or early intervention programs is a bonus (not required)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Part-time options available
• 10% of hours allotted for administrative work
