Job Purpose
Our Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving the quality assurance and health and food safety programs. The Quality Manager will lead and scale our quality systems, ensure compliance, and uphold the highest standards in safety and product integrity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and management of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, BRCGS, ISO 22000, GMP).
  • Develop, implement and maintain product specification management systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives.
  • Maintain a Lot Code tracking system to ensure traceability of all received, stored and distributed products; enabling trace-back to the supplier and trace-forward to all customers.
  • Maintain compliance with direct food contact regulations (FDA standards).
  • Develop, monitor and report on KPI's related to product quality, food safety and audit performance.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits and manage responses to non-conformances.
  • Lead investigations into quality deviations, customer complaints, or product recalls.
  • Oversee employee training in quality and food safety programs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external audits, inspections, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Operations, R&D, Sales, broader Veritiv Quality Team) to ensure product and process compliance.
  • Define KPI's and report on campaign performance, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value and ROI

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quality management experience in food manufacturing, cold chain or direct food contact packaging.
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI standards.
  • Experience in cold chain logistics and monitoring systems.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product and customer experience teams.
  • Proven ability to lead audits and manage quality incidents in fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of materials compliance.
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance or related field.

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of related job experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
