Child Support Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a calm, dependable, and experienced caregiver to support our 7-year-old son, Fahad, who is on the autism spectrum. This is a long-term, part-time role designed for someone who values structure, predictability, and meaningful one-on-one care.
This is not a casual babysitting position. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in consistency, communication, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up Fahad from his home in Seattle and provide attentive care
- Support daily routines, transitions, meals, and calming activities
- Provide occasional overnight care
- Accompany Fahad during select school breaks and holidays
- Maintain clear, professional communication with parents
- Create a calm, structured, and supportive environment
Schedule & Predictability
- Every other weekend (typically 1st & 3rd weekends of the month)
- Alternating school breaks, including:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- Spring break
- Midwinter break
- Schedule provided well in advance
This role is ideal for someone seeking predictable commitments without weekly hours.
Ideal Background
- Experience with children on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
- Backgrounds that fit well include:
- ABA / RBT
- Special education or paraeducator roles
- Professional nannies with neurodivergent experience
- Nursing, psychology, or education students
- Comfortable with overnight care and occasional travel
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Calm, patient, emotionally mature, and reliable
Compensation
- $30–40/hour, depending on experience
- Overnight rate: $150–250 per night
- Holiday and travel premiums available
- Monthly minimum guarantee available for the right candidate
