Job Description

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Retail Part-Time in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail or mall environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a welcoming atmosphere at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Work closely with site management and/or law enforcement as needed, following established protocols and communication procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
