About the Role: Training and Development Specialist

  • Develop and deliver quality programs for employees of Arc Broward / Barc Housing, as well as community customers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in developing new educational programs, training, and workshops that meet team member and community customer needs.
  • Serve as the primary instructor for the agency's nationally accredited, state-licensed post-secondary program, DSPATHS.
  • Lead exciting initiatives in direct support professional networking and mentoring.
  • Monitor training activity for compliance with accreditation standards and requirements from funding sources (governmental, private foundations, etc.) and regulatory bodies (e.g., CARF and ACCET).
  • Oversee the department's training database and ensure that all training records are accurate and complete for all team members.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and training experience to team members and community customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources specializing in training/development or organizational management, Marketing, Business, Education or related field.
  • Minimum of four years' related experience in providing training and education to organization/corporations/schools.
  • Must be able to pass PCM Training as a trainer. Training will be provided within the first three months of employment.
  • Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid as a trainer. Training will be provided within the first three months of employment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management and ability to handle high volume multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Provider Pro and Nutshell preferred.
  • Valid FL driver's license and successful level II background check, physical and drug screen.
  • Preferred: Bilingual English + Spanish or Creole.
