About the Role
We are seeking a driven, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Residential & Commercial AV Sales Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, identifying technology needs, and designing tailored A/V, automation, and smart technology solutions for both homes and businesses.
This position offers opportunities to work with:
- Residential clients — luxury homes, new construction, remodels, smart homes, shading, lighting control, whole-home audio/video, and networking
- Commercial clients — conference rooms, huddle spaces, digital signage, video walls, classrooms, distributed audio systems, security integrations, and networked AV solutions
The ideal candidate is confident presenting premium products, understands modern technology across both environments, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Residential & Commercial Sales
- Identify and develop new opportunities in both residential and commercial markets
- Conduct on-site, virtual, or showroom consultations to assess client needs
- Recommend solutions including A/V, lighting control, shading, networking, automation, and conferencing systems
Design & Proposals
- Prepare and present proposals, system designs, and pricing packages
- Design systems utilizing brands such as Control4, Lutron, QSC, Sonos, and more
- Ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with client expectations
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and installation teams
- Support field technicians and programmers during installation when needed
- Maintain clear communication throughout all phases of design and installation
Client Support & Growth
- Provide ongoing client support throughout the sales cycle and after installation
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Represent the company at trainings, product demos, and industry events
Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales experience in A/V, home automation, commercial technology, or related fields
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex technology clearly
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and detail
- Proficiency with CRM tools and general computer applications
- Valid driver's license and availability for local travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year
