Architectural Designer I Residential

Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Architectural Designer I to join our collaborative team in Boston. Our practice specializes in custom residential design throughout the greater Boston area, with an emphasis on New England vernacular architecture.
This position is ideal for a motivated designer who is passionate about residential architecture and eager to contribute to all phases of design and documentation. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the firm principal and senior architects and gain hands-on experience in both the architectural and interior design aspects of our projects.
Duties
- Assist senior architects and designers in developing conceptual designs and schematic layouts for residential projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings using Revit.
- Develop construction documents including schematics, plans, elevations, sections, and details that clearly communicate design intent.
- Collaborate and integrate interior design elements, mechanical systems, and structural components into cohesive plans.
- Support the review of construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and client requirements.
- Contribute to graphic design tasks such as presentation boards and marketing materials that showcase project concepts effectively.
- Maintain organized project files, records, and documentation throughout all phases of the design process.
Experience
- Professional degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M.Arch)
- 2-4 years professional experience
- Stong proficiency in Revit (required)
- Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools
- Knowledge of construction processes, schematic development, drafting standards, and building codes relevant to residential projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while paying close attention to detail.
- Familiarity with interior design concepts and mechanical system integration within residential environments is desirable.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members effectively.

Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
