Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our fire business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the service, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm, burg alarm, CCTV and access control systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Possess expert working knowledge of various low voltage systems manufacturers (e.g., Notifier (Honeywell), Potter, DMP, Bosch, Hanwha).
- Ensure all service and inspection work strictly adheres to all relevant local, state, and national codes and standards, including NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
- Conduct comprehensive inspections, testing, and verification of systems to certify compliance.
- Work with limited supervision to manage time and complete complex service, inspection, and maintenance projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project requirements, develop timelines, and ensure timely completion.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, with vocational or trade school training in electronics or a related field being highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable, hands-on experience in the fire alarm or low-voltage electrical industry, focusing on installation, inspection, testing, and service.
- Expert and working knowledge of applicable fire and electrical codes, most notably the NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code - NEC)
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for traveling to job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturer, NICET, DCJS and any other licenses/certifications are preferred
Salary: $38 - $40 an hour
