We are looking for a DAY SHIFT (6:30am-3:00pm) Shipping/Receiving Lead Technician at our facility in La Vergne, TN. Our Shipping & Receiving Lead will work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to ensure that the department is running efficiently and meeting deadlines and cutoff times. This role will also be a liaison with the Order Experience Team and express an urgency to the supervisor and the team when an order is at risk to not ship as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works from an order queue to ensure that any order that has inventory will ship.
• Coordinates daily shipments and set shipping expectations.
• Creates shipping labels and supporting documents (BOLs) from a variety of programs including ShipHawk, FedEx Manager, UPS WorldShip, and
• Drive continuous improvement by working w/ the appropriate teams (internal & external) to automate processes through NetSuite, ShipHawk, etc.
• Sorts, matches, and groups shipping labels and packing slips for numerous customers and retailers.
• Works closely with the Supervisor to meet shipping deadlines and cutoff times.
• Communicates with Sales Coordinators on order received and pick tickets.
• Analyzes inventory levels to ensure product is ready for the day's orders.
• Utilize Netsuite for order processing and inventory management.
• Expresses urgency to Supervisor and Team when an order is at risk to not ship as expected.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years shipping/receiving/logistics experience is required.
• 1 year minimum in a lead role is required.
• Experience with UPS Freight and FedEx Freight systems a plus.
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Ability to track fine details visually and recognize potential problems before they arise.
• Ability to comprehend all purchase order and pick ticket forms to ensure that information is correct
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Able to routinely lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be forklift certified
• Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
