Position: Office Manager / Director

Location: Dance Studio- Playa Vista, Los Angeles

Compensation:

  • $25/hour for the first 90 days
  • $28/hour or salary (pending performance review) thereafter
  • Goal of annual raises based on studio growth

Schedule:

Full-Time | Sunday–Thursday

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM (6–8 hour shifts; varies by day)
  • Sunday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Regular schedule includes Sunday mornings
  • Ability to occasionally cover Saturdays or switch shifts with our Admin Assistant

Start Date: Training to begin ASAP

You are friendly, outgoing, positive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who lives in or near Playa Vista. You enjoy working with both adults and children, thrive on organization, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. You're excited to support and grow dance and camp programming and are seeking a long-term opportunity, not a temporary role. You're eager to lead, take initiative, and grow with a positive, dedicated, and fun team.

About SFK

So Fly Kids is a successful children's enrichment company offering dance, swim, and seasonal camps throughout Los Angeles and Irvine. We are proud to operate out of a beautiful, state-of-the-art dance studio in Playa Vista.

About the Position

This role is central to the daily success of our studio. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Executive Director, dance/music instructors and camp counselors
  • Greeting walk-ins, answering phones, and assisting current and prospective clients (adults and children)
  • Comfort working in both fast-paced, high-energy environments (class transitions, drop-offs, pick-ups) and independently during non-class times
  • Maintaining efficient office systems, including teacher rosters and student enrollment
  • Experience with Asana, Trello, or similar organizational tools is a plus
  • Providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly and calmly, including resolving small issues as they arise
  • Proficiency with computers and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
  • Assisting with recital and performance planning, including costume ordering
  • Creating clear, well-written communication documents (strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation required)
  • Camp Director roll during our So Fly Kids Summer, Spring, and Winter Camps
  • Light cleaning and studio organization
