Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Snow Shoveler to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and accessible walkways, driveways, and outdoor areas during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and familiarity with various landscaping and maintenance tools. Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or construction is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and appearance of properties during snow events.

Duties

  • Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment.
  • Assist with ice management by applying salt and ice melt to prevent slips and falls.
  • Perform routine maintenance on landscaping and snow removal equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Support other outdoor maintenance activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening as needed during off-season periods.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment like excavators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area after completing snow removal tasks.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with landscaping, lawn care, or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment are advantageous.
  • Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus.
  • Physical stamina to perform strenuous outdoor work in cold weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures when using tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to respond promptly during winter weather events. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in outdoor maintenance and landscape work to develop their skills while contributing to community safety during winter months.
