West Hartford, Connecticut, United States MOHR Talent Full time $75,000 - $95,000 per year

**Financial Planning Specialist

West Hartford, CT | $75,000–$95,000 salary

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Onsite
About the Opportunity**

We're partnering with a growing wealth management firm that provides highly tailored financial planning and investment strategies to high-net-worth clients. Due to continued expansion and increased planning demand, they are hiring a Financial Planning Specialist to support their Senior Financial Planner.

This is a newly created role designed for an organized financial planning professional looking to elevate their skills in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment. You'll gain exposure to sophisticated planning strategies while building the communication and client-facing confidence needed to advance toward a future advisory role.

If you're driven by accuracy, polish, and helping clients achieve meaningful financial outcomes, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and update client financial plans using eMoney or similar tools.
  • Support financial planning data gathering and information documentation.
  • Assist with cash flow modeling, investment allocation reviews, and scenario analysis.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant client plan files with strong data integrity.
  • Attend selected client meetings to observe planning conversations and grow presentation skills.
  • Deliver strong, responsive client service with follow-up on requests and tasks.
  • Work closely with advisory, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Take initiative to continuously improve planning knowledge and operational processes.

What They're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning, client service, or wealth management operations.
  • Experience with eMoney (or comparable financial planning software) strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong professional presence, communication, and interpersonal skills — this is a client-facing role.
  • CFP certification preferred — or a strong interest in pursuing it.

Why You'll Love It There

  • This is a firm where mentorship and growth are built into the culture. You'll receive:
  • Clear advancement pathway toward deeper planning or advisory responsibilities
  • Exposure to high-net-worth planning strategies and client relationship development
  • A collaborative team with high professional standards and strong integrity
