Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Member Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist with various financial transactions, promote our services, and ensure a positive experience for all members. Your attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members warmly and provide assistance with inquiries regarding accounts and services.
  • Process cash handling transactions efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Utilize financial software to manage member accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for unusual activity.
  • Operate cash registers accurately while adhering to company policies on cash management.
  • Assist members with understanding debits and credits on their accounts.
  • Engage in upselling of financial products and services that meet member needs.
  • Apply retail math skills to ensure accurate pricing and transaction processing.
  • Support loan origination processes by gathering necessary documentation from members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or financial services is preferred.
  • Strong cash handling skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with financial software and retail math concepts is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on fraud prevention detection strategies.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding member service.
