Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to health regulations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations before and after service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Participate in menu planning and development, providing input based on seasonal ingredients.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and food preparation methods.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in culinary arts or related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
