FARM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Location: San Juan Bautista, California
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non- Exempt
Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Equipment Operator, you will play a key role, and your main duties will include:
- Operating farm machinery and equipment and ensures maintenance.
- Tillage, plowing, and other activities to prepare the soil for planting. Spraying and/or fertilization of crops. Cleaning the fields/greenhouses. Distribution of materials.
- Regular lubrication and repair of farm machinery and equipment.
- Ensure farm machinery and equipment is kept clean, tidy and in good working conditions when not in operation.
- Ensure farm machinery and equipment is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks.
- Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs. Prepare farm machinery spare parts inventory.
- Execution of other farming duties or crop care duties as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and organized. You should be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant training and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of processes in soil preparation and chemical applications.
- A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written is required.
- The ability to speak and understand Spanish is highly desired.
- The ability to work independently, plan and execute own activities.
- Functional guidance of less experienced Farm Equipment Operators and seasonal workers.
- Ability to learn the breeding administration software.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Schedule is Monday through Saturday, occasional Sundays.
- Work outside in different weather conditions.
- Travel within the USA (5-10%).
- Must be an eligible driver under our insurance policy.
Compensation & Benefits
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the pay range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, and other objective job-related factors.
Estimated starting pay $25 - $30
