Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various destinations while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving, route driving, and handling heavy loads. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards.

Duties

  • Safely operate a box truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
  • Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and preparing loads for delivery
  • Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods safely
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow delivery schedules
  • Prior warehouse experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment and procedures
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with manual transmission if applicable
