Join our team at Celsa Foot and Ankle in Delray Beach, FL as a Receptionist/ Medical Assistant. We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-orientedindividual to support both clinical and administrative operations. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction, multitasking, and working in a medical setting. In this position, you will support our doctor by managing patient interactions at checkin/checkout, patient scheduling, assisting in the clinical environment, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining high standards of medical support. This position offers on-site training and does not require experience. This position is great for new graduates interested in the medical field, and will serve to develop your skills in a specialized medical setting. Experience with EMR Athena is helpful.

Qualifications

  • On site training will be provided no experience is necessary anyone is welcome to apply
  • Great experience and resume builder for those interested in healthcare professions in the future
  • Medical Assistant/Front desk Experience helpful
  • Experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to patient care is ideal
  • Ability to perform intake assessments
  • Excellent patient service skills with a caring attitude toward diverse populations including geriatrics or patients requiring medical/surgical care
  • Knowledge of protocols such as Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow within the healthcare field or gain experience for future healthcare role/profession

Responsibilities:

  • Check in/ Greet patients promptly with kindness
  • Assures that protocols are followed in compliance with OSHA and HIPPA
  • Collecting Co-pays, deductibles
  • Assist with authorizations and referrals
  • Maintains patient's files, records and other information
  • Assists in organizing and facilitating an orderly flow of patients from reception areas to exam rooms and subsequently to other patient care areas in the practice
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and squat
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients

  • A podiatry medical assistant's responsibilities may include ordering, sorting, storing supplies and restocking exam rooms
  • Cleaning exam areas, setting up instruments and equipment and cleaning the sterilizer
  • Answering the office phones, performing data entry and scheduling appointments,
  • Employee duties will frequently require computer usage including the ability to type as well as verbally communicate with patients
  • Occasional lifting up to 30lbs
  • Assist patients in and out of the patient chair with support with other staff members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.79 per hour
