React Physical Therapy is a privately owned, boutique orthopedic practice serving the Chicagoland area. We work with a wide range of patients—from elite athletes to active individuals—helping them recover from injuries and optimize movement. Our approach is rooted in the proprietary Reavy Method, a whole-body treatment strategy designed to identify root causes of pain and restore natural function. At React, we value personalized care, hands-on techniques, and building strong relationships with our patients.

Position Summary

We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Aide who is energetic, personable, and passionate about health and fitness. The ideal candidate will work closely with our clinicians to support patient care, clinic operations, and administrative needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and motivate patients through prescribed exercises and functional activities under the direction of physical therapists.
  • Monitor and report patient progress and responses to treatment.
  • Provide exceptional front-desk service, including patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and handling inquiries.
  • Accurately input patient data, billing, and insurance information into EMR systems.
  • Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and explain coverage to patients.
  • Collect copays, outstanding balances, and cancellation fees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including treatment and common areas.
  • Support general administrative tasks including emails, voicemails, faxes, and supply management.
  • Comply with HIPAA and all company privacy practices.
  • Participate in team meetings and other company initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Background or certification in fitness, kinesiology, or personal training strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate exercises and adapt them to a patient's condition.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with insurance verification (including Medicare, Workers' Comp, MVA) is a plus.
  • Intermediate proficiency with computer systems and EMR platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
