Project Manager – FAA Biomedical Research Support

Pay Range: $38 – $55 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Motion Technology and Development LLC (MTECH)—an SBA-certified 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone small business—is seeking a Project Manager to lead daily operations supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) in Oklahoma City, OK.

This role oversees all contract activities for the Aerospace Medical Research Division, managing personnel, deliverables, schedules, and performance reports that support FAA biomedical and toxicology research programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the FAA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
  • Manage daily performance of the Chemist and Lab Technician staff
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource allocations
  • Oversee task order execution, contract deliverables, and status tracking
  • Prepare Monthly Status Reports (MSR) and Quarterly Performance Reports
  • Manage Status of Funds reporting and track hours against task budgets
  • Ensure compliance with FAA SOW, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) safety requirements
  • Support transition-in planning and staffing readiness to meet FAA's 45-day start requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Management (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects in a research, biomedical, or federal contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small multidisciplinary teams and manage deliverables independently
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (required for FAA facility access)
  • Ability to pass a Tier 1 Public Trust background check and obtain MMAC badge within 45 days of award
  • Completion of OSHA BBP training and Hepatitis B vaccination (or declination form) prior to start

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing FAA, CDC, NIH, or DoD research support contracts
  • PMP, CAPM, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, or other reporting dashboards
