Job Summary

The Housing Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that housing properties meet all federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing programs. This role involves maintaining compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, Fair Housing regulations, and other relevant policies. The specialist will work closely with property management teams, tenants, and regulatory agencies to uphold standards, resolve issues, and promote equitable housing opportunities. The role involves scheduling inspections with tenants, visiting rental units, and completing HUD and company-standard compliance checklists with photo documentation.

Duties

  • Schedule and coordinate compliance inspections directly with tenants.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of residential units.
  • Complete detailed compliance checklists to verify adherence to HUD and Atwood Management standards.
  • Take clear, comprehensive photos of the inspected units.
  • Submit completed reports promptly after each visit.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Smartphone or tablet capable of taking and uploading photos.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with tenants.
  • Prior property inspection or maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour
