Our Undergraduate Finance Summer Internship Program:

The Corporate Finance Summer Internship Program is a ten-week, best-in-class internship designed to place high-potential undergraduate students like you into our most impactful and critical roles. This program aims to develop your financial and business acumen, preparing you for future success. Throughout the internship, your performance will be thoughtfully assessed to prepare for your future in the Finance Professional Development Program.

We're looking for you:

The financial industry landscape is changing rapidly, and it's essential for State Street to adapt to our clients' needs and invest in our future. The Summer Internship Program prepares you for a role in the Finance Professional Development Program, a two-year rotation program where you will help evolve Corporate Finance into a true business partner after completing your undergraduate degree. We are looking to hire Builders, Persuaders, and Strategists to:

- Manage the design, development, and implementation of multiple highly complex improvement projects that promote organizational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive revenue.

- Develop and implement multi-faceted models to transform data into business insights and strategies.

Undergraduate Finance Summer Internship Program Highlights:

- 10-week intensive internship

- Participation in orientation sessions led by program managers and subject matter experts

- Placement into any one of the following functions: Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategy, Controllership, Treasury, Investor Relations, Global Realty Services, Business Unit Finance

- Assignment of dedicated mentor to support your professional growth and guide your internship experience

- Introduction to data analysis and management

- Business case study challenge and presentation to panel of senior leaders

- Introductory demos to major applications used in Corporate Finance (e.g., Smartview)

- Executive networking and speaker series

- Opportunity to volunteer in the Boston Community

- Full-time offers to high-performing, high-potential interns

Undergraduate Finance Summer Internship Program Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering your junior or senior year following the summer of 2026

- Majoring in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent

- Demonstrated problem-solving and influencing skill-set

- Highly successful working independently, in teams, and across a matrixed environment

- Highly motivated with an exceptional drive for success

- Change management and innovative mind-set

- Analytical, numerical, and organizational skills

- Experience in Excel and data management – experience in coding a plus (R, Python, SQL, etc.)

Salary Range:

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
