Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Financial Controller, you will support the Chief Financial Officer and finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in real estate and business finance within a family office environment.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting month-end close processes. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, oversee vendor payments and collections, and perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy. You will help prepare financial statements and internal reports, contribute to budgeting and forecasting for projects, and track expenses and capital improvements. Additionally, you will participate in acquisition due diligence and integration tasks while ensuring compliance with internal controls and assisting with audit preparation.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and have one to three years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to real estate. Familiarity with GAAP and basic financial reporting is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
