About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading national General Contractor expanding its
Data Center Commissioning
team.

These roles support large-scale, mission-critical projects and require individuals who thrive in technical environments with high performance and reliability standards.

Multiple positions are available - from entry-level commissioning technicians to senior commissioning project managers. If you're passionate about complex building systems, problem‑solving, and delivering projects where uptime matters, this is an excellent career path.

Role Overview

As part of the Data Center Commissioning team, you will verify that mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical infrastructure systems function precisely as designed. You'll support or lead commissioning from early planning through turnover, ensuring system reliability, safety, and performance. You will ideally have experience with Levels 1-5.

Projects include hyperscale and colocation data centers with complex power, cooling, and redundancy requirements.

Responsibilities

Duties vary depending on level of experience.

Mid-Level Roles

  • Plan and execute commissioning tests for MEP and critical systems
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with trade partners
  • Review commissioning plans, submittals, and O&M documentation
  • Lead testing workflows, data logging, and system performance reviews

Senior Commissioning PM Roles

  • Lead commissioning for full data center builds from precon through turnover
  • Develop commissioning scopes, schedules, and progress reporting
  • Manage teams, trade partners, and commissioning agents
  • Ensure compliance with redundancy, scalability, and reliability standards
  • Serve as the primary commissioning contact for owners and project stakeholders

Qualifications

Mid-Level

  • Experience with MEP systems, commissioning, controls, or mission‑critical environments
  • Ability to conduct system testing and coordinate field activities
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers preferred

Senior PM

  • Extensive commissioning experience within data centers or similar mission‑critical facilities
  • Strong leadership, scheduling, documentation, and client-management experience
  • Deep knowledge of MEP, electrical distribution, cooling systems, and redundancy
