Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our Electrostatics R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Electrostatics R&D team in product development, prototyping, benchmark testing, and competitor evaluations for electrostatic paint and powder systems. You will be helping to manage the development lab, analyze data, write test reports, and ensure our test equipment is maintained and calibrated.

Essential Functions

  • Support the design, development, and testing of fluid handling and controls products, taking on more complex tasks and projects.
  • Develop and execute detailed lab test plans, including performance evaluations, product trials, and failure analysis.
  • Manage prototype component purchases, oversee prototype builds, electronics assembly, and perform advanced lab verification tests.
  • Draft and revise technical documents, CAD files, service manuals, and work instructions with increased independence.
  • Lead setup and testing for customer validations, providing technical support to R&D engineers.
  • Record and analyze test data, draft comprehensive test reports for engineer review.
  • Maintain lab equipment, manage the ISO calibration program, and suggest equipment purchases.
  • Comply with company policies, ISO standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD software (SolidWorks, Altium).
  • Experience with robot programming (Fanuc, MotoMan) and PLCs (Allen-Bradley).
  • Strong understanding of lab bench test equipment and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
