Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teacher located at Frank McCoppin ES in San Francisco, CA. The TK Teacher will design and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support the academic and social-emotional growth of young learners. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, implementing curriculum aligned with state standards, maintaining classroom management, and collaborating with fellow educators and families to ensure student success.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and skills in early childhood education, curriculum development, and teaching in a developmentally appropriate manner
  • Ability to maintain positive classroom management and effectively support young learners' social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with colleagues, families, and the broader school community
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote a culturally responsive and inclusive environment for all students
  • California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with Bilingual Authorization (preferred) or eligibility for teaching credentials recognized by the state
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable
