Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with excellent communication and guest relations skills. The position offers an opportunity to develop customer service expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
  • Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
  • Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously to uphold high standards of guest relations
  • Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours to optimize seating efficiency
  • Support other front-of-house tasks as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality roles preferred
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service background, with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Experience in hotel guest services or serving roles is advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices is desirable
