Gas Station Cashier & Cook – Job Description

Position Overview:

We're looking for a reliable and energetic individual to join our team as a Cashier & Cook at our gas station convenience store. This dual-role position requires someone who can efficiently manage customer transactions while preparing fresh food items in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashier Duties:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
  • Operate the cash register, process payments, and issue receipts
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
  • Monitor inventory of front-end items and restock as needed

Cook Duties:

  • Prepare and cook food items such as breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and other grab-and-go meals
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Keep kitchen area clean and stocked
  • Assist with menu updates and daily specials

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or retail preferred
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, customer-facing setting
  • Combination of standing at register and working in kitchen
  • Team-oriented atmosphere with opportunities for growth

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
