Junior Accountant
(Temporary)

On-site position here in Jacksonville (8 AM - 5 PM)

4-8 week project

$22 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to provide temporary support to our accounting team. This role will focus heavily on Excel-based work and assist with routine accounting tasks, reporting, and data reconciliation. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry, reconciliation, and validation of financial information
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
  • Assist with month-end close activities and basic journal entries
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed
  • Review financial reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Help organize and maintain accounting documentation and files
  • Assist senior accounting staff with ad hoc analysis and reporting

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience (internships acceptable)
  • Strong Excel skills required (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to follow processes and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a temporary or contract environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems
  • Coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
