This role is critical to maintaining reliable communication systems in mission-critical facilities across NYC, New Jersey, and Long Island. This is a field-based service role that requires regular travel to customer sites. While paging systems and AV are the core focus, experience with other low-voltage systems—such as structured cabling and security—is a strong plus.

  • Support paging systems integrated with AV, emergency communication, and other facility systems within healthcare environments.
  • Perform on-site service calls at hospitals and medical facilities across NYC, NJ, and Long Island.
  • Troubleshoot and support AV systems, including audio components, displays, signal distribution, and control interfaces.
  • Identify wiring issues, equipment failures, configuration problems, and system-level faults.
  • Interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Support service and troubleshooting of additional low-voltage systems as needed, including:
  • Structured cabling (copper and fiber)
  • Security systems (access control and surveillance infrastructure)
  • Test, verify, and document system functionality following service or repair.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with hospital staff, facilities teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and service reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience troubleshooting paging systems, preferably in hospital or healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, signal flow, and cabling best practices.
  • Experience supporting AV systems in commercial or institutional settings.
  • Ability to work in active healthcare environments, following safety and access protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to job sites throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Long Island.
  • Experience with hospital paging or emergency communication platforms preferred
  • Valid SST (Site Safety Training) card — physical card required
  • A clear photo of the SST card uploaded with your resume
