Trading Risk Analyst

Location-Houston, TX

Duration- 12 Months- Multi-Year Contract

Pay-$45-$55/Hr.

Job Summary:

The Trading Analyst collaborates with trading, operations, accounting, risk control, and other regional trading offices to analyze and report daily exposures, mark-to-market profit and loss, and monthly earnings for both physical and financial trading positions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the energy, manufacturing, transportation, or finance industry.
  • Proven collaboration skills and ability to perform in demanding environments.
  • Demonstrated time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
  • Experience in a Trading or Sales organization.
  • Familiarity with crude, natural gas liquids, or refined product commodities.
  • Experience working with ION RightAngle.

Responsibilities:

  • Support commodity trading team through deal entry, maintenance, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversee and deliver reports of daily exposures, mark-to-market profit and loss, and monthly earnings for both physical and financial trading positions.
  • Coordinate with support teams to address and resolve issues across front, middle, and back-office functions.
  • Effectively communicate trading activities and performance outcomes to management, traders, and support teams.
  • Enhance and simplify business processes.
  • Provide backup support to fellow Trading Analysts.
