We are seeking a dynamic
Director of Digital Media
to join our
Digital Division
, helping to lead strategy, innovation, and performance across our growing digital practice.
Candidate must demonstrate experience in the luxury travel/hospitality industries, specifically luxury hotel properties,
with a strong strategic approach to account management.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital communications leader with deep expertise in social media, influencer strategy, content development, paid media, and analytics, along with a strong understanding of how digital communications integrates with traditional PR to drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
The candidate will be charged with leading our agency's digital division and managing all client initiatives. This position is responsible for implementing best practices, providing industry insights, acting as an expert on digital practices, and creating effective digital campaigns that demonstrate ROI to our clients. The candidate will plan, execute, and measure comprehensive digital and influencer campaigns – both organic and paid – for clients within the luxury travel, lifestyle, and real estate industries.
The Digital Director will effectively manage client budgets and team hours. The candidate will plan and execute strategic campaigns across all social media platforms, connecting the right message with the right audiences at the right time. The ideal candidate for this role has an entrepreneurial spirit and understands a broad array of technology suites such as Sprout Social, Upfluence, Google Analytics, NUVI, and native social.
The Digital Director will be passionate about exceeding client KPI's while also managing client expectations, as well as educating our team and clients. The Digital Director will also be expected to grow the digital practice by both upselling existing clients on digital campaigns and proactively soliciting new clients.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Lead strategy, planning, and development of comprehensive digital programs and new business pitches.
- Work directly with client decision makers to ensure client stability.
- Work with the social media team to develop and implement complex digital strategies and campaigns.
- Act as the day-to-day contact with account teams and clients.
- Create strategic influencer recommendations and campaigns for all digital clients, focusing on crafting a campaign and target list that will achieve our clients' marketing goals and show true ROI.
- Ensure reports on campaign performance (including insights and optimization recommendations) are timely, accurate, and actionable.
- Be the go-to resource for all in-depth social and digital inquiries from clients and colleagues.
- Provide ROI-driven social media analysis and counsel for clients and key stakeholders.
- Write strategic social media plans, proposals, and media materials.
- Assist in the development and growth of the overall department and new business development by partnering with senior leadership – SVPs and EVPs.
Qualifications
- Experience with travel, real estate, and lifestyle clients is essential; please refrain from applying unless you have worked in these areas in previous roles.
- Minimum six years of digital experience within an agency environment, with at least three years of experience leading campaigns, managing direct reports, and coordinating with client decision-makers.
- Expert-level knowledge and experience across all social platforms, influencer marketing tools, native platform analytics, and social intelligence tools.
- The ability to plan social media, digital advertising, and influencer campaigns to meet strategic and tactical marketing objectives while remaining within budget constraints.
- In-depth knowledge of the ever-changing social media space and FTC regulations; well-versed in terms & conditions for online sweepstakes and contests, social advertising, and influencer marketing.
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- A thorough knowledge of both organic and paid social metrics.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to quickly pivot to meet client objectives and requests.
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or equivalent.
- Experience in pitching new business, including the creation of proposals and leading pitches/presentations.
