Duties

  • Assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
  • Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
  • Support the assembly of piping systems, fixtures, and HVAC components during remodeling or new construction projects
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing fixtures and mechanical systems on construction sites
  • Participate in site safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
  • Gain field service experience by troubleshooting issues on-site and assisting experienced plumbers

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in construction or plumbing is a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in the plumbing industry
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding schematics
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools. Must be able to effectively read a measure tape and cut correct measurements
  • Willingness to learn plumbing techniques, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation
  • Ability to work outdoors on construction sites in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
