Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to lead our dealership's used car department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automobile sales, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to manage inventory effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales performance while providing outstanding customer service and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the used car department, ensuring optimal inventory management and control.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance profitability.
  • Train, mentor, and manage the sales team to improve performance in areas such as customer service, upselling, and closing deals.
  • Engage in outside sales activities, including cold calling and B2B sales initiatives to expand the customer base.
  • Negotiate deals with customers while maintaining profitability for the dealership.
  • Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure follow-up on potential customers.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements and presentations to promote dealership offerings and build community relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.

Skills

  • Proven experience in automobile sales with a strong understanding of retail math and inventory control.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of high-end sales success.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM software usage for managing customer relationships and sales support activities.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding customer service while fostering lasting relationships with clients.
