Architectural Woods, a leading distributor of hardwood lumber and lumber products is hiring for a Warehouse Manager at our Vancouver branch.

The Warehouse Manager will ensure the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and picking lumber products, oversee inventory control, ensure workplace safety, oversee routing of trucks, and work in tandem with the Operations Manager to meet organizational goals. Individuals must be highly motivated, able to multi task, problem solve, and work within an ever-changing environment.

Position Requirements:

  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience
  • Strong forklift experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently in outdoor temperatures
  • Ability to lift and move product up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers courteously / Will Call customer service
  • Managing direct reports of Driving and Evening Shift Lead
  • Oversee a team of approx. 10 people
  • Assign tasks based on business needs and monitor team performance
  • Ability to prioritize work flow
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Process accurate paperwork
  • Receiving
  • Maintaining clean, organized work environment
  • Cycle counting and Inventory Management
  • Flexibility to adjust to daily changes
  • Enforce AWI safety protocols
  • Truck Dispatching and Maintenance
  • Forklift Training and Maintenance
  • Pick outbound orders

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 8 hour shift with overtime as needed
  • Monday to Friday

Pay: $ $35/hour DOE

Successful candidate needs to be a self-motivated leader who can work unsupervised and learn quickly.

Experience in Building Materials industry is a plus. Computer skills required.
